The conversion of biomass-to-energy 


The biomass is converted into energy by means of a variety of processes, including the following: 


The direct combustion of combustion for the generation of heat and 


Thermochemical conversion process for the production of solid, gas and liquid fuels 


The chemical conversion to liquid fuel production 


The biological transformation for the production of liquid and gaseous fuels 


Direct combustion is the most common method for the conversion of biomass into usable energy. All of the biomass that can, and should, be used directly for heating and heating of water for industrial heat production, and for the instagram generation in a steam turbine. 


Thermochemical transformation of biomass include pyrolysis, and gasification. Both of the thermal decomposition processes of raw biomass is heated in a closed container under pressure, the so-called gasifiers, when the temperature is high. Syngas can be used as a fuel for diesel engines and for heating and to generate electricity in gas turbines.
